Of Italian and Mexican descent, born and raised in Paris, violinist Noemi feels strongly attached to all three cultures, which inspire her in her quest for self-realization though art and music. Noemi’s passion for world music and jazz led her to become a member of Jarana Beat.
Noemi is a dedicated teacher and has brought musical workshops to underprivileged children in Guadalajara, Mexico, through the organization Concertando Mexico, and in New York, through various organizations.
She was featured on WQXR’s McGraw Hill Young Artist Showcase in October 2014 and as an international performer, has given recitals with NoVa Duo (a violin duo she forms with her sister Valentina Gasparini) in the historical Teatro Degollado (Guadalajara, Mexico) and the legendary Moulin d’Andé (Normandie, France), among others.
Noemi won the Manhattan School of Music “Precollege Concerto Competition” and performed as soloist with the Manhattan School of Music Precollege Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Jonathan Strasser. She also won the New York Chamber Players “Concerto Competition”.
Noemi graduated with honors from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Regional de Paris in 2011, where she studied with Florin Szigeti. She is currently a candidate for a Bachelor of Music Degree in violin performance from Manhattan School of Music, under the tutelage of Patinka Kopec. There, she is also studying Indian classical music with Samir Chatterjee.
